DESCRIPTION:
Belize is a small English-speaking country where in one week you can partake in a huge, exciting variety of experiences. Fly into to Belize City and the first night you will be sitting at a seaside restaurant eating fresh seafood as you gaze out over the water. Next day a short plane ride takes you the end of the Placencia peninsula where the main street is a sidewalk. Spend 4 nights here on the beach in a seaside accommodation. Walk the beach under the palms at sunset and sunrise. In the 3 days we are there we will hire a boat to take us to three dive/snorkel sites with a focus on being one day with the whale sharks. Experience the myriad of amazing life in the coral reefs. Relax on exotic cayes. In the evening as the breeze blows, watch the kite surfers as you relax in thatched roof dining areas. Then we will ride into the jungle to the border of Guatemala. Here you will stay in thatched roof jungle cabanas amidst the colors and sounds of the jungle. One day we will explore the famous ATM cave! This is one of the coolest sacred Mayan sites you can imagine. You swim into the beauty of the cave. Here are over 1200 relics including sacrificial bodies over 1000 years old! The next day we go over the border to Tikal, the massive Mayan City! We are limited to 8 people and need to book the lodging and boat a year out if we can. So sign up early!Meets in Belize City
