Viewing Post for: Everest Base Camp 2013
Date: November 7, Thursday
Location: Namche, 11,300 feet.
Rest day. Sunny
Yes. What a view today as you can see from all the pictures.
People are loving Namche as they can get a shower. Loving weather, it went from
25 to 55 when the sun came out. We went through a local museum and Kami our
Sherpa pointed out his brother who had climbed Everest, pictures of himself
and his family. This after is shopping day in afternoon.
It was very emotional for some when they saw Everest for the first tie as it has
been a life long dream for many in the group.

Hi, Melissa. Hope you enjoyed your day of rest. Wow...what an incredible view. Bet is was great to get a shower, too. We've been following your progress on the map provided. You guys have traveled quite a long way from Kathmandu in just a few days. Pretty impressive. Stay safe, okay?

Hi Mom! I can't wait to see all of your awesome pictures! The view looks amazing! Mike, Wesley and I are all ready for dad to visit. He should be here sometime this morning. Tonight is our Fall Festival, so I got a hula hoop and squishy balls to make a game. I may be more excited about having a 3 day weekend! I may actually be able to catch up on work and sleep! Esperenza said we could go on the 26th at 9:30 or 2:30. I figured 2:30, but will wait to email her back. we miss you and Love you!

It was nice to hear Damaroo's voice this morning. We all are fine. You both enjoy with the team members and climb. Soha, thanks for amazing picture. I know I do not like cold but temp.55 in sun is great. Everyone in Florida are doing well. Take care. Damaroo, you have very strong will power and I am sure you will climb all the way.

Lise, here's your update on life in New Paltz: Bianca is kicking butt, the boys are looney-tunes, and I'm all sorts of gimpy. In other words, business as usual! Can't wait to hear all the stories and see all the pics!

Hi from the top floor of Building 5! We are taking a break from Paradise Lost and Yeats and Dubus to check in on you and your little hike. Here's the news from Rochester: Maggie Brooks' husband was indicted yesterday for fraud and bid-rigging. Hope all is well! We'd love to see you in a picture. Hint, hint. :-)

Hey Guys! Are you there yet?! HAHAHA. Just kidding. Wouldn't be fun if it was easy, right? Hope you enjoyed your day "off" and the hot shower. Was good to talk to you both this morning! All is good here, same old. Leaving for DC tomorrow, meeting the Ohio crew at the airport. We're going to do the 3-mile walk...we anticipate it being about as hard as your last hike was. You know, the mean streets of DC...grueling. Hope your next day is a great one! Love you guys. Pics are awesome! Lov

BRAVO.... lookig at your route and surroundings, it looks like breath taking to us. BUT afte your previous experience, We are sure that you will finish it just like so many challenges you have overcome. Dont worry about home and business, look at the top and the target, you both will hit bullseye. Wish you good luck and hopw you maintain your food and drink and diet and excercise. Love you, miss you and wish you all the best...Rajesh and Smita

Showers, museum, shopping and views of Everest - sounds like a great day. Everything fine here. Local activities include leaf pickup, leaf pickup and, yup, leaf pickup. Q says she is getting along ok with the neighbors. Has easier access to the pb. Enjoy your rest and be safe. Love, Dad / Paul

Honey, It sounds like you have already had some wonderful views of Everest. Must have been quite emotional and beautiful. If the opportunity arises for you to get into one of the daily photos, I'd love it. I'm afraid of the "hide and seek" blog from yesterday. All good here. Love, Me

AMAZING! So good to hear your voices this morning - albeit it was at 12:30am the first time around, Sohashah! I know Dad is worried as it is his nature, tell him we're fine but being challenged as he would probably like! Bali, A2 and Mitel are fine, we're getting ready to head to DC for the weekend for the heart walk and visit with Gitaphoi and Sona! The views are stunning, like you said sister, you're in the Himalayas! ENJOY and drink it all in! Love, Ruchi
