We have arrived after a 10 hour ride on a luxury train across the Andes. The contrast between the dancing, singing and comfort on the train is intense. Inside all is beautiful and a delight. Outside there are amazing steep, grassy, Rockie mountains. But in some towns blue plastic sheet huts lining the tracks where people live. Llamas are in the fields with sheep. Tomorrow we take a boat to the reed islands of the Euros people and then home stay with various families on Taquile, an island in Lake Titicaca. We will be spread out and there is a bit of anxiety about this adventure. We will update you on Wednesday.
PS. Last night we ate cuay or guinea pig
