Viewing Post for: Kilimanjaro Climb 2012
Date: February 23, 2012
Location: Serengeti Wild Camp
We reunited with our two people who spent the week helping with the orphanage and school. They have so many stories to tell.
We are camping in style with zebra, wildebeast and gazelles right outside the tent area. Some have flown home, some are returning to Moshi to run in the marathon there on Saturday. The group is getting smaller.
Some of the highlights today include a 20 foot python next to the monkey it killed. There were also 4 lions laying in the road.
We will send one more post tomorrow.

Have you seen any Giraffes yet??? They are my favorite because they are so graceful and tall....kinda like me!!! Make sure Marcia doesn't go off looking for elephant feces!!! Was met at the airport by my two pups and several friends and family. Hitting the hot tub for the second time this morning...I'm still sore. Must be all that sitting in airplanes we did. Miss you all and wish I was with you.

Ew. A 20 foot python? That gave me chills... I can picture you jumping into D's arms and begging her to carry you. Hope you got some pictures! Only a little bit of time left 'til the marathon, so make sure you start carbo loading!! I wish you the best of luck. We're all thinking about you. Jordan's spending the night at our house tonight, and he can't wait until you're back! Miss you so much! XOXOXO

Gene and Deirdre - I have tried to send you a message a few times and it didnt work. (I am technologically spastic!) Congratulations on your wonderful accomplishment! You both truly inspire me and put my concerns and worries about UCVTS Relay into perspective..Bottom line-Im not climbing Mt.Kili and then running a FREAKIN marathon the next day! D-Parent meeting went well and SMAC is working hard! Things are getting done! I totally miss you and your support though! Sendin you guys love!

Not to put too fine a point on it, but hope the python and the monkey are NOT the highlight. Lions - Ok. Zebras - cool. Wildebeasts - expected. Pythons? No thanks. Still, can't wait to talk to you for real and see all your pictures. Keep us posted when you can. Love you.
